Loveit: A Summer Font for Creative Projects

There I was, staring at a blank brand board, trying to find the right visual voice for a new client. The project was for a small coastal café that wanted to feel approachable, warm, and inviting. After some back-and-forth with the client, we landed on a concept that leaned into simplicity and natural charm. That’s when I reached for Loveit.

Loveit is a relaxed and fresh, summery handwritten font. Its soft curves and fluid lines immediately brought a sense of ease to the design. It felt like a breeze on a hot afternoon, perfect for a brand that wanted to evoke a laid-back, beachy vibe. As I typed out the first few words, I could already see how it would work in different parts of the brand system.

One of the first things I tested was the logo. I used Loveit as the main typeface, pairing it with a simple sans serif for balance. The contrast worked well—Loveit added personality while the other font provided clarity. It wasn’t too flashy, but it had enough character to stand out without overwhelming the viewer.

As I moved into packaging design, Loveit proved to be a versatile choice. I tried it on label stickers, coffee bags, and even a menu board. The font’s natural flow made it feel handcrafted, which aligned perfectly with the café’s aesthetic. It also looked great in both large and small sizes, which is important when designing for different formats.

On social media graphics, Loveit added a friendly, personal touch. Whether it was an Instagram post or a Facebook ad, the font helped create a cohesive look across digital platforms. It wasn’t too ornate, so it didn’t distract from the visuals, but it still had enough style to make the content feel unique.

I also experimented with Loveit on a shop sign. The font’s readability was impressive—even from a distance, the text was clear and easy to read. That’s a big plus for any brand that needs to communicate its message quickly and effectively.

When working with clients, I always recommend testing a font before committing to it. Loveit is no exception. I created a few mockups using different color schemes and background textures to see how it performed in various contexts. This helped me understand its strengths and limitations, ensuring it would work well in the final brand materials.

Loveit is best suited as a display font or headline font. It’s not ideal for long blocks of text, but it shines when used sparingly. In a brand identity system, it can serve as a logo font or an accent font, adding a human touch to otherwise more rigid designs.

Font pairing is another important consideration. I found that Loveit pairs well with a clean, modern sans serif. This combination gives the design a balanced look—Loveit adds warmth and personality, while the sans serif keeps things professional and readable. It also works well with a traditional serif font if the brand leans more into classic aesthetics.

One thing I noticed about Loveit is how it handles different languages. The font includes a range of alternates and ligatures, making it adaptable for multilingual projects. This is especially useful for brands that operate in multiple markets or want to expand their reach.

From a technical standpoint, Loveit comes in multiple weights and styles, which is great for creating visual hierarchy. I used the lighter weight for headings and the bolder version for key messages. This helped guide the viewer’s eye through the design without relying on size alone.

For commercial use, Loveit is a solid choice. It includes proper licensing for print and digital projects, which is essential when working with clients. I’ve used it in everything from business cards to website headers, and it has consistently delivered a polished, professional look.

When designing for a small business, the goal is often to create something that feels authentic and genuine. Loveit helps achieve that by bringing a sense of warmth and approachability to the design. It’s not overly complicated, but it has enough character to make a lasting impression.

Whether you’re working on a café, a boutique, or a creative studio, Loveit offers a fresh and flexible option for your typography needs. Its summery feel makes it ideal for brands that want to feel light, airy, and welcoming. And as a designer, I appreciate how it balances creativity with practicality.

Loveit is a font that works well in real-world design scenarios. It’s not just a pretty typeface—it’s a tool that can help shape a brand’s visual identity in a meaningful way. If you’re looking for a font that feels natural and easy to use, Loveit is definitely worth considering.
